Science and Technology Ministers and High Autorities Reaffirm Commitment to Human Prosperity

On October 27-28, Hemispheric ministers gathered in Mexico City, Mexico, for the Second Meeting of Ministers and High Authorities of Science and Technology in Mexico City, as part of the preparations for the next Summit of the Americas. On the occasion, Ministers adopted the Declaration and Plan of Action of Mexico: “Science, Technology, Engineering and Innovation as Tools for Human Prosperity”, declaring to join forces to promote science, technology, engineering, innovation and public policies as tools for integral development, sustainable of natural resource management and increasing productivity. In the draft Declaration of Commitment of Port of Spain, Science and Technology play an important role as common denominators that bring together, reinforce, and sustain the three main pillars of the Declaration.
