Dialogue sessions between governments, civil society and private sector towards the IX Summit of the Americas

In the context of the First Regular Meeting of the Summit Implementation Review Group (SIRG), the Summits of the Americas Secretariat of the Organization of American States (OAS) is pleased to invite you to follow the dialogue sessions foused on 4 topics between SIRG delegations, civil society and private sector panelists to discuss their priorities for the Ninth Summit of the Americas.

These sessions will take place on June 16, 2021. The first half of the sessions will be among civil society and private sector panelists. The second half of the sessions will be open to SIRG delegations and Joint Summit Working Group members to ask questions, comment, and provide feedback.

The sessions will focus on broad topics reflecting priorities identified by National Summit Coordinators in their responses to the three concept papers, which were disseminated by the Summit Chair in October 2020, and feedback National Coordinators conveyed to the Chair following their national-level dialogues with stakeholder groups.

The four thematic dialogues are:

10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. (simultaneous sessions)

(A) Governance, Anti-Corruption, and Human Rights

(B) Pandemic Response and Resilience

11:45 a.m. - 1:15 p.m. (simultaneous sessions)

(C) Climate Change and Sustainable Development

(D) Economic Growth and Social Inclusion

All Dialogue Sessions will be broadcast in 4 languages (Spanish, English, French, and Portuguese), as well as sign language in Spanish.
