...that the Summits Virtual Community (SVC) provides a virtual meeting space to foster dialogue and debate on key Summits issues? Since its launch in June 2010, t he SVC has hosted forums on a range of hemispheric priorities including sustainable development and gender. The most recent forum, held in coordination with the Inter-American Commission of Women (CIM), attracted participants from 24 member states who actively debated the role of women in a democratic society. SVC members have established over 20 discussion groups to dialogue on implementation and follow-up of Summits mandates.
