The Summit of the Americas is the principal forum for dialogue and political cooperation among the nations of the western hemisphere. Since the first Summit in 1994, this space has allowed the leaders of the Americas to address pressing challenges such as economic development, environmental sustainability, the promotion of democracy, and the fight against corruption.
