...that prior to the VII Summit of the Americas scheduled to be held in Panama on April 10-11, 2015, Civil Society and Social Actors¹ are offered several options for participation? Designed as part of the effort to maintain active and ongoing collaboration with people throughout the Americas, some of the activities include:

Policy Dialogues

Open forums in which experts present their perspectives and debate on the theme of the VII Summit, “Prosperity with Equity: The Challenge of Cooperation in the Americas.”

National Consultations

Held in several OAS Member States,² these consultations offer participants the option to draft recommendations on the document, Mandates for Action.

Virtual Forums

This online space gives participants, who are unable to attend the Policy Dialogue or National Consultations, the opportunity to exchange ideas and offer comments and recommendations on topics related to the Mandate for Action document.

The results of the National Consultations and Virtual Forum are compiled, distributed and presented to the host country for their consideration during the preparatory process of the VII Summit of the Americas.

Hemispheric Civil Society and Social Actors Forum | Dialogue between the Heads of Delegation, Civil Society and Social Actors: This face to face meeting will allow participants to speak with Ministers and other senior government officials on matters of social, economic and political interest.
